What is solar energy?

Renewable Energy

Solar energy is clean energy that comes from the sun in the form of heat and electricity. It's a renewable energy source that doesn't produce harmful any greenhouse gases.

Solar panels, or photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy and convert it into electricity to use in your home.

Installing solar panels lets you use free, renewable, clean electricity to power your appliances. The best way to utilise solar panels is to install a number of panels, best on a south facing roof with no shadow and along with the panels connect it to a battery, which allows you to store the generated energy your system creates.

How do solar panels work?

When the sun shines on a solar panel, solar energy is absorbed by individual PV cells. These cells are made from layers of semi conducting material, most commonly silicon. The PV cells produce an electrical charge as they become energised by the sunlight.

The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity generated. But cells don’t need direct sunlight to work and can even work on cloudy days. This electrical charge creates a direct current (DC) of electricity, the direct current passes through a solar inverter to turn it into alternating current (AC) electricity.

You need AC electricity to run your household appliances.

Solar PV

Free Electricity

Photovoltaic Solar also known as solar PV is a fantastic renewable energy source and as the old saying goes, make hay when the sun shines and the same must be said regarding the installation of solar panels.

When the sun shines your solar PV can be saving you money, you can produce free electricity when the sun shines, which will reduce your electricity bills and help the environment.

Renewable Energy from the Sun

Our team of fitters work together to deliver exceptional results on every project. We're passionate about what we do, and we're committed to providing our clients with the best possible service.

Renewable energy from the sun is the only way forward, when you sit in the sunshine, you get that lovely warm feeling, it makes you feel good and when you have solar PV you will be saving money on your utility bills, how good is that to know.
