Another great review and testimonial from one of our customers.
We removed the spray foam insulation on the 17th of July 2025 from Mr T’s home, as he was having issues getting equity release and we received this email last night.
As you can see, he is more than happy to talk with any other prospective customers and if need be, show them the standard of work carried out, this is far more than we would ever expect a customer to offer, Thank you Mr T.
“HI Paul,
Apologies for the delay, it took the Bank quite a long time to make a decision to grant my request for E R, however, it has finally come through with absolutely no problems. That's a big thank you to you, Chris and the team please pass on my appreciation to Chris.
Please find enclosed the promised testimonial as an attachment.
With kind Regards “
“ To Whom it May Concern.
This is a testimonial to the work carried out by Chris and his team at SFIR Home Improvement, to remove the Spray Foam from my property.
In this day and age there are so many cowboys in the business of this removal. Not so SFIR Home Improvement, they are the exception, so professional, I couldn't be more pleased with this company, nothing was too much trouble, an excellent job well done. The end result my property passed inspection, and I was able to proceed with obtaining Equity Release.
I would be more than happy, via Chris to talk to any prospective customer's and if necessary would be more than willing to show any of his clients first hand the excellence of this companies work.
A big thank you to SFIR.”
The SFIR Home Improvements team specialise in providing professional roof reports, pre-foam removal reports, post removal reports and providing certification that the major banks, building societies accept so they can offer funding to the homeowners and the purchasers.
Great News today (17th July 2025), we had a customer that was referred to us by an estate agent, who had spray foam insulation badly removed by another company. She was trying to sell her property, but the surveyor was not happy with the way the work was done.
We carried out a pre-removal roof assessment, provide a detailed report, was instructed to complete the works needed, provided a post removal report with pictures, and issued a removal certificate.
We have a very happy customer (lady) who just phoned us to say the mortgage company have authorised the buyers mortgage, having received our removal certificate and post removal report.
The buyers mortgage was through First Direct, which is part of HSBC.
If you need a professional roof report for your property, then SFIR Home Improvements are the people to contact. call us on 03333 222 600 or local 01252 750 444
It may sound obvious, but so many companies neglect to inspect the loft space correctly. Here at SFIR we start by making sure the roof structure is in good order. After the spray foam has been removed we complete a detailed assessment of the roof timbers for rot, fungal growth, or structural weakening caused by trapped moisture from spray foam insulation, we take moisture readings to ensure no damp or moisture is present. One of our loft assessors will evaluate the quality of the spray foam removal work undertaken in your loft, ensuring complete and proper removal without any residual material being left behind.
Removing closed cell polyurethane spray foam is an intense and laborious operation. Many of the new start up companies and those who have previously sold spray foam do not understand the techniques needed to remove the spray foam from the back of the tiles or the bitumen felt membrane. We use the revolutionary CWB process, which produces great results and cleans the tiles without any damage, with very little pressure applied to the tile, unlike others who use crowbars, cold chisels and hammers, which can all cause severe damage to the roof structure.
